Mommy, I Really Love You
Mommy, I love you, I really do.
Although Mommy, I might not show it to you.
You see God has put this love in me.
For me to show and for you to see.
So what is this that hinders me from showing it to you?
What is it in me that needs to be renewed?
It can’t be forgiveness, that I have given.
It can’t be selfishness for that has been ridden.
So, Mommy, I pray to God today.
That I might be able to show you how much love is in my heart.
It’s been there all along, never to depart.
There’s nothing like a Mommy to have to care.
For I need you in this life to share
To teach me the way I should go
To teach me good seeds to sow
To help me grow and grow
To become successful to show
The world and all who need to know.
So Mommy I write to tell you
I love you dearly.
Although you are not perfect,
You did your best
God in His Mercy will do all the rest
