About the Author

 

Dr. Armada C. Pinkins lives in the Atlanta, GA area where she is an English-as-a Second-Language Instructor at a technical college.  She has been teaching English to both children and adults from beginners to higher educational levels for the past 20 years.  She has taught all ESL levels in business and educational settings. She is a passionate educator who is able to ignite a desire and a confidence in her students which enable them to make significant achievements in learning English and become life-long learners.

 

Dr. Pinkins holds a Doctorate in Adult Education from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma; a Master’s in TESOL from Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, OK; a Master’s in Management/Human Relations from Webster University, St. Louis, MO; and a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT; a Pastoral Diploma from Rhema Bible College, Broken Arrow, OK; and several computer-related certificates from Gwinnett Technical College, Lawrenceville, GA. In addition to teaching, Dr. Pinkins does private tutoring and volunteers as a tutor with Gwinnett County Library.  She enjoys serving God in ministry and volunteering to feed the homeless.

She has served as a pastor, and a missionary in Gambia, West Africa and Jamaica, West Indies. Her travels have taken her to eight countries on four continents. She loves God and the diverse people of the world. Dr. Pinkins life’s passion is helping and serving others reach their fullest God-given potential and fulfill their destiny.

 

Currently, she is an Ordained Minister at Berean Christian Church Gwinnett where she serves on the Prayer and Military Ministries.  Dr. Pinkins enjoys writing, singing, playing computer games and watching romantic comedies. She loves going out to eat with her mother, family, and friends.
